Steak Night!
LB Steak

898 Santa Cruz Avenue/ Menlo Park, California

Saturday, June 28, 2014, 6:30 P.M.
$285.00 Members ~ $350.00 Guests

IT’S Steak Night! Roland Passot, of the legendary La Folie San Francisco, has created two Premier Steak houses in the heart of the Silicon Valley. His LB Steak Restaurants feature the finest Premium Angus Aged Steaks.

When you enter the restaurant their impressive aging cabinet displays a hearty selection of steaks being aged to perfection. Add to that, the superb cuisine of Master Chef of France, Jöel Guillon, Culinary Director and Maître Cuisiniers de France of the Left Bank Restaurant Group, and also a recipient of the prestigious Chevalier Mérit Agricole awarded by the French government, and we are in for an exciting evening of culinary excellence.

Jöel is looking forward to introducing their new LB Steak Chef de Cuisine, Kelsey Casavan, a former accomplished pastry chef of the Left Bank Group, who is now the chef in residence at LB Steak, Melon Park. Chef Casavan will accompany him in preparing the extraordinary menu they have arranged for our event.

At our request, Jöel will also be presenting his signature Squab “Pot au feu”, which is perhaps the finest rendition of the dish we have experienced. LB Steak has a superb private room for our evening so that we can enjoy a comfortable and grand dining experience.

The 1978 vintage will be the theme of the evening: 1978 is a sensational highly rated vintage for California Cabernet and the wines selected for this event should be a perfect pairing for a Premium Angus Aged Grilled Rib Eye Steak.

The wines were originally acquired directly from each winery and have been perfectly stored since acquisition.

In addition to the great collection of Cabernets, we will also be serving the award winning 2005 Geyser Peak, Sauvignon Blanc, and a delicious wine from Oregon, the Argyle, Willamette Valley, 1998 Sparkling Wine (20% Pinot Noir/80% Chardonnay).

We are delighted to present this evening for our numerous members residing in Silicon Valley so that they may enjoy a local event.

Jöel has also offered to arrange special pricing at the four star Stanford Park Hotel for those wishing to spend the evening. We hope that you will join us for a fun night of great Steaks, accompanied by a superb collection of 1978 California Cabernet Sauvignon!

Best wishes,
Jack Rubyn, Chairman
